Image of Professor Catherine Hill
  • Catherine is an experienced clinical rheumatologist and a passionate advocate for person-centred, evidence-based healthcare for all Australians. She currently leads a clinical research group in Adelaide and is the Medical Advisor for Arthritis SA.

    Catherine is a former President of the Australian Rheumatology Association and has been an active participant of the Australian Committee for Medicine (TGA) and Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC). She also chaired the South Australian Medicines Evaluation Panel.

    In collaboration with NPS MedicineWise, Catherine led the Value in Prescribing bDMARDs Program. This multi-pronged program employed various innovative strategies, including living guidelines, academic detailing and decision aids, to support the quality use of highly specialised medicines for inflammatory arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and psoriasis. 

  • Kate is an experienced GP, specialising in women’s and children’s health. She has a special interest in medical education and public health.

    In her role as medical advisor at NPS MedicineWise, Kate was involved in the development and implementation of projects including the safe use of medicines for older people and chronic kidney disease. Kate has significant media experience and has hosted a range of webinars and podcasts exploring issues related to the quality use of medicines.

  • Amanda is an experienced consultant pharmacist with advanced clinical knowledge of chronic disease management. Skilled in reviewing and delivering evidence-based best practice education to health professionals motivating learning and adoption of new practices to ensure the safe, rational and cost-effective quality use of medicines and medical tests.   

    Amanda has worked collaboratively with a broad network of health professionals to deliver more than 20 national therapeutic education programs across diverse health care settings including primary care, tertiary care, aged care and Aboriginal health services.

  • Jarrah is a clinical pharmacist with a keen interest in the design and delivery of health professional education programs.

    He has utilised his clinical experience alongside a passion for quality use of data to inform and evaluate a variety of public health promotion projects. At NPS MedicineWise Jarrah acted as product manager on a variety of audit and feedback interventions, each with a reach of approximately 30,000 General Practitioners across Australia. More recently as the clinical lead of the national key performance indicators (nKPIs) for indigenous health program Jarrah aided in the consultation process for developing new clinical indicators and managing accuracy and delivery of validation across four bespoke clinical systems.

    Currently Jarrah has the role of clinical lead at MedCast, working with the Quality Use of Medicines Alliance to continue promoting best practice healthcare in Australia across a variety of important therapeutic areas.

  • Caroline is a GP with extensive experience in urban, rural and remote setting practices, including Royal Flying Doctors and Aboriginal community health. She is a well-respected medical journalist and media doctor. 

    Her clinical areas of expertise include wellness, nutrition and exercise, work/life balance, stress management and preventative medicine. She is a passionate advocate for quality use of medicines.

    As medical advisor at NPS MedicineWise she was involved in the development and implementation of projects for mental health, chronic health failure, health literacy, opioid use and chronic pain. She also hosted their popular podcast series exploring topical issues relating to safe use of medicines and emerging trends in health for Australians.

  • Anna is a GP and experienced medical educator, with expertise across medical affairs, clinical leadership, educational program design and delivery and clinical data interpretation.

    Anna has worked as a medical lecturer and academic, clinical writer and editor, GP journalist, and medical education and publications lead.

    While at NPS MedicineWise, Anna was involved in the development and implementation of multiple quality use of medicine programs, hosted podcasts and webinars, and was a key media spokesperson.

  • Kara is a consultant pharmacist with special interests in mental health management and optimising outcomes for Indigenous Australians.

    Kara has contributed to the design, build and implementation of multiple national education programs, including most recently the development and implementation of a single, secure, Territory–wide, electronic patient record that integrates multiple systems used in NT Health.

    Kara has webinar, podcast and media experience, as well as additional training and experience in project management and business analytics. 

  • Anne-Marie is a consultant pharmacist who specialises in behaviour change practices, including academic detailing, and stakeholder engagement. She has a diverse background in primary care, aged care and tertiary care. She was the Choosing Wisely Health Services Manager, supporting 48 health services and hospitals across Australia with implementing projects that reduce low value care. 

    Anne-Marie has worked with an extensive network of general practitioners and other health professionals in Melbourne due to her role as a clinical educator. She has delivered over 20 therapeutic topics, including recent NPS MedicineWise programs on mental health, heart failure and chronic kidney disease. In addition, she is experienced in program development and project management.

  • Caroline is a consultant pharmacist and clinical educator who has delivered a broad range of evidence-based educational sessions to over 5000 health professionals nationally, in urban, rural and remote areas of Australia.

    Caroline is experienced in tailoring health education to meet the needs of clinicians across multiple health care settings. This has included general practice, aged care, correctional facilities, community pharmacy, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, and Primary Health Networks.

    Caroline is passionate about developing the skills of educational facilitators to help achieve a high standard of service delivery.

  • Clare is an experienced healthcare program manager, people leader and registered pharmacist with further qualifications in quality and project management.

    At NPS MedicineWise she led the development and delivery of innovative multi-faceted behaviour change programs, incorporating interventions such as academic detailing, audit and feedback, online learning and consumer-facing tools and resources.

    Clare is passionate about transforming health data insights and complex technical information into evidence based and impactful interventions for health professionals and consumers.
